Part of the Next Step Initiative
About the Program
The HHMF Connection & Advocacy Project, part of the Next Step Initiative, is designed to help adults who are traveling, living on the road, experiencing housing instability, or facing other barriers that are making it difficult to move forward.
We focus on the specific problem standing in the way of greater stability, safety, or progress. That may include safe parking, vehicle problems, employment, criminal-record barriers to work, identification or benefits, basic needs, temporary lodging, travel-related difficulties, relocation, or other challenges.
HHMF does not decide what someone’s life should look like. Each person chooses what they want to pursue. Our role is to listen, make practical suggestions, help identify realistic options, make connections, and advocate when appropriate.
Our goal is simple: identify the barrier, find a practical next step, and help the person move forward.
The Village Without Walls is built one connection at a time.
How It Works
You tell us what is happening and what you are trying to accomplish.
We help identify the main barrier and look at realistic options.
With your permission, HHMF may contact organizations, businesses, churches, service providers, employers, or other community resources to ask about possible assistance or opportunities.
We may also help make introductions, clarify requirements, suggest next steps, and follow up on connections.
HHMF does not guarantee funding, housing, repairs, employment, transportation, services, or any particular outcome. We provide information, suggestions, advocacy, and connections to help you explore the next step that is right for you.
