Through HHMF, we bring together educational resources, useful information, original music and videos, community knowledge, and opportunities for people to help one another.
Whether you’re living off-grid, traveling, camping on public lands, exploring a different way of life, or simply looking for useful information, you’re welcome here.
We believe everyone has something to learn, something to share, and something valuable to contribute.
And when life presents challenges, HHMF also offers individual guidance and advocacy to help people explore options, make connections, and identify practical next steps.

HHMF brings people, knowledge, and resources together to strengthen the connections that already exist among nomads, travelers, rural residents, off-grid households, and people living on wheels.
We believe everyone has something valuable to contribute. Experience, knowledge, encouragement, friendship, and a willingness to lend a hand are the foundations of strong communities.
Through free educational resources, original music and videos, practical guidance, community connections, and individual advocacy, HHMF helps people learn from one another, explore possibilities, and move forward.
What We Do
Sharing Knowledge and Experience
Practical experience is one of the most valuable resources a community possesses. HHMF provides free information and educational materials on:
- Off-grid living, solar power, and self-reliance.
- Camping on public lands and responsible stewardship.
- Vehicle living, travel, and nomadic courtesies.
- Health, safety, and preparedness.
- Community relationships, mutual support, and everyday challenges.
Our purpose is to share useful knowledge, encourage responsible choices, and make information more accessible.
The Village Without Walls
The village already exists. We’re helping connect it.
Across the country, people are sharing knowledge, helping neighbors, welcoming newcomers, respecting one another’s independence, and looking out for those around them.
Some live in vehicles, some in rural communities, some off-grid, and others in more traditional homes. What connects them is not a common address or a particular lifestyle, but the willingness to contribute to something larger than themselves.
HHMF recognizes and celebrates these existing connections. Through education, storytelling, music, encouragement, and outreach, we hope to strengthen the Village Without Walls.

When someone encounters a challenge they cannot resolve alone, finding the right person, organization, or resource can be an important first step.
The HHMF Connection & Advocacy Project offers individual assistance to help people identify obstacles, explore practical options, and connect with existing community resources.
We listen, respect individual choices, and advocate when appropriate and with permission.
We do not promise outcomes or decide how someone should live. Our purpose is to help open doors, make connections, and support informed decisions.
